Five on Friday

{1}

The oldest and the youngest. Andrew has always been an awesome helper. He is such a great big brother!

{3}

Mommy Saturdays -
This is our new thing and it is quite wonderful. Each Saturday morning, I take either Andrew or Alex with me while Jason stays home with the other 2. We go do our errands and such, like groceries or whatever, but our first stop is breakfast. We usually go to Dunkin Donuts. This is our time just me and just 1 of the 3. We talk and stuff. It is great! One time, Andrew brought along a book and we got all cozy in one of the "fancy" lounge chairs and read it together while enjoying our muffin/donuts. Good times. :)

{3}

FINALLY. I finally got some of Austin's wall art and such hung up!

{4}

Enjoyed the weather over the weekend while we could! Some one is getting big much too fast!

{5}

He really wants to run outside with them. When they do run past the window, he will move those little legs in that bouncer as fast as he can. So funny!

Five on Friday {Game Night Edition}

*This post contains affiliate links*

We have quite a few game nights since the 1st of the year! We have play a lot of great games with the boys. And many of them are actually played more and more - by just Andrew and Alex - during the week! Here are some great ones to add to your collection:

{1}

This game is still a work in progress with the boys and is currently the hardest. For now, we play in teams - Team Alex vs. Team Andrew. And, they have learned quickly that whoever had Daddy on their team always wins. I'm just not good at that one! But, even though it is a bite hard for them, these guys still love it!

{2}

This game is a LOT of fun! Overall, the boys love it. They think the pictures are cool, too. Andrew doesn't like to pick the wrong ones though... Alex doesn't seem to mind all that much until someone gets a match letting that person go again. But, it's a great game for them. They actually take this one out after school to play it while I get dinner going.

{4}
  This game is the best of all for them. They are playing it right now actually while I get these few posts scheduled before our trip. They are really great at this game. It is perfect for their ages (4 and 2.5 yr old), too - teaches them how to take turns, numbers, colors, and memory skills (who had that card again?). We love it!!

{4}

These I have got to get a hold of... They seem to be doing well holding the cards in the pictures above. And, they are...until they have to add another card or take one out of their hand. Then it is chaos.

{5}

We do not have this one just yet. But, we have an upcoming reader in the house so this would be great to add to our game closet!

Five on Friday {Bouncer Edition}

**This post contains affiliate links.**

Welcome back to Five on Friday! This edition is all about Mr. Austin! He is growing so FAST! He is 16 weeks old and is all about that bouncy seat. He absolutely loves it. He is grabbing at everything and teething like a little puppy dog.

In other news, he is sleeping through the night and is starting to eat rice cereal and yummy fruits. He thinks that he is a big boy like the other two.

Speaking of the other two, when Andrew and Alex are close by to Austin he watches every single thing that they do. He loves his brothers so much. He just lights up whenever they play with him, laugh at anything, or just anything really having to do with them. Ahhh-dorable!

{1}
I sadi to Austin, "Look at that cool flower!"
He made that face LOL

{2}
Then, I was informed that that was NOT a flower. It was, in fact, a windmill.
Alex shows that this is the truth by blowing on that doohickey and making it spin with his hand.
Thus...a windmill. :)

{3}
Austin LOVES the spinning monkey toy!

{4}
He also loves keeping mommy company in the kitchen - love him!

{5}
And, of course, when you are in the kitchen...that is where you have a snack. Isn't that the cutest? You won't believe what is in there... Strawberries. He LOVES them. And, now if he see something red, he starts smacking his lips. Too adorable! If you have a teetherinyour home, I highly reccomend that super cool contraption. I had these with all 3 of my boys. They rock!

Five on Friday

http://alizadventures.blogspot.com/2014/01/five-on-friday_24.html

Welcome back! Last week was rather interesting in the weather world... Just when we thought we would all freeze to death, the sun decided to shine a bit stronger so we could get rid of cabin fever.

{1}

We enjoyed some amazing weather last week...for like a day. But still. We took full advantage of the park after school since the following day was going to be back in the 30s or something ridiculous for the South.

{2}

This guy is just getting too big too fast! He is starting to really enjoy sitting in the bumbo "talking" to his brothers (10 weeks)

{3}

 See what I mean?! Looks like a 6 month old... But, nope. He is 11 weeks this week! What?! I had this child 11 weeks ago?! Where did that time fly off to?

{4}

Check it out! Andrew's class held a Teddy Bear Tea Party - they learned about science (diffusion, color changing, etc...) and manners/etiquette. He chose to take his Packers bear and look what he came home with? A "#1 Bear" ribbon! Very cool!

{5}

 Going strong with our Family Game Nights and Popcorn for Dinner Nights! Alex chose to play "Hungry Hungry Hippos" (thanks Braxton!) for Friday night. On Saturday, we made movie butter popcorn (pin for later) and kettle corn (pin for later).

Five on Friday

http://alizadventures.blogspot.com/2014/01/five-on-friday-recent-favorites.html

Welcome back, Friday! We have missed you...Here are the things that have been happening this week at the House:

{1}

Railroads. All shapes. All sizes. But, NEVER under any circumstance will you get stuck on a loop. Unless Mama makes it...

{2}

The freezing cooking frenzy begins. Last weekend The boys helped me make mini banana muffins (top) and mini Apple-Zucchini Muffins (bottom) for their breakfast/school lunches. YUM!

{3}

Pizza/Movie Night. We were invited to go out with a bunch of friends from church to on e very cool pizza place. We had the arcade room packed with all of us! It was super fun! Andrew and Alex thought it was so cool to play these old school video games and hang out with their friends for some yummy pizza. The kids had two booths to themselves and all the grown-ups actually got to hang out and chat. Good times!

{4}

Mail time! Two of the many books that I plan on reading this year showed up in the mail! YAY!

Some one is growing up much too fast... Austin is 10 weeks old!! He is super smiley, super happy, and one amazing little buddy to two big brothers. He is sitting in the bumbo seat more and more now. He loves watching his brothers play with trains and catches a glance at the TV every now and then. But, once he spies mama...it's "Hey! Pick me up now!" time.

So what's happening at your House this week?

Five on Friday

Welcome back to another installment if Five on Friday! Here's what goodness was happening this week!

{1}

Family Game Night
What a great way to start off the first weekend of the new year!

Andrew was the first to pick the game (next game night is Alex's turn). Candy Land is such a great game. Though, I really wish we had the original...this new version is all jacked up in my opinion. Queen Frostine has been demoted to Princess Frostine?! What is that about...? So weird. But, I'm not the only one worried...there are other characters that have been changed. This blogger has quite a bit to say - complete with pictures - about the "cultural evolution of Candy Land" that has happened over the year. Quite interesting to read. {click here}

But aside from my thoughts about the 2010 version of Candy Land, we had a great time playing together. Lots of giggles were heard and kisses stolen between turns. So much fun!

If you do not have a family game night yet, try it out. My boys (4 and 2.5) are still in the learning stages and getting over the "I can't win all the time" phase. But, if you don't play...they will never learn. It is OK to lose. Get over it and try again.

Most importantly... HAVE FUN!!

{2}

Over the weekend we put away our Christmas decorations. I love the holiday season but, we just couldn't take the chaos anymore. Almost everyone was sick over the break and school was starting this week anyway. So, it was time.

This year, though, I did something a tad different with how I put away the boys' ornaments. They made so many adorable ones, got different ones as gifts from friends/teachers, and a new ornament added for every Christmas that they now have their own boxes of ornaments. So sweet.

{3}

Popcorn for dinner night!

This was so much fun! We made movie butter popcorn and kettle corn. YUM.

They boys are clearly excited! LOL

If you don't have a Whirley Pop...get one. It is FAR better than that microwaved stuff. Really. We had a taste test. So threes kinds of popcorn, people. Quite a spread. Thanks, again, to Justin and his fiance Kate, for the awesome Whirley Pop!
{4}

Wait, what? Did you catch that?

Yes, Jason's brother, Justine, is getting married!!

 Are they not the cutest?! Congrats, Kate and Justin! We can't wait to see y'all in March!
Thanks for letting me share your photo, Kate!

{5}

Ok, so funny story about these cups (found at the ever-so-awesome Target)...

Jason and I were talking about our "probably not going to happen but let's just do it for fun" bucket list, and both of us would LOVE to go to Rome. Well, all of Italy, actually. But Rome/the Vatican is the first stop for sure. Anyway, the next morning Andrew and I run some errands and I spotted these cups and about died. A sign maybe? LOL...noooooo....maybe.... But, very cool just the same. Now we are enjoying our warm beverage of choice and always keeping Rome in mind.

Fabulous! So what goodies do you have to share?

Have a great weekend!

 Silly Alex sporting my sunglasses and Daddy's face mask that he uses when mowing the lawn. Haha!

{4}

Ew. The sickness took over our house late Christmas Eve night and just left us yesterday. Nasty bug, don't come back!

Five on Friday

Welcome back Friday! We are ready for the weekend here...are you? My family is coming to town and Austin is getting Baptized on Sunday! Lots of good things happening here this weekend. But, first, here's five things to share from this week:

http://alizadventures.blogspot.com/2013/12/five-on-friday_13.html

{ONE}

Alex is LOVING every minute of being a big brother! He still, of course, has the little brother moments when he does EVERY. SINGLE. THING. Andrew tells him to do. But, he is awesome at being a big brother, too. He has gotten much better at shoving gently placing Austin's binky back into his mouth at the moment he hears him fuss even just a tiny bit. He ALWAYS wants to hold him, kiss him, hug him, and squeeze him. It is just too cute. We are still working on the squeezing him part, but still...it is so sweet.

{TWO}

 Of course, Alex does have his big brother, Andrew to teach him how to take care of a baby. Andrew has been pretty awesome at helping me out, too. He has become quite the multi-tasker! He's having some cheerios, watching Polar Express (I think...at least that seems to be the ONLY thing on our TV right now), and performing binky duty.

{THREE}

No worries, though - Austin doesn't always have a binky. He is starting to smile SO MUCH these days! It is adorable! But, of course, Mr. Man somehow knows what a camera is and it is a tad difficult to get a pic of him smiling.

But, I managed to get some great ones on Tuesday! YAY! You can't hide from my phone, sir!

{FOUR}

Austin is 5 weeks old now and starting to sleep pretty well most nights. We had four nights this week where he slept from about midnight til 5-ish. So, guess who will be moving into their room next week!? YAY! Such a big guy. Don't worry...Mr. Fox won't be staying that close to him. Don't you just love his little baby, though? Thanks, Nana! Mr. Fox is super cute!

{FIVE}

These two just ADORE each other. Austin just woke up from a nap and Alex was still resting. So, Andrew figured this would be the perfect time to teach his baby brother all about his mad math skills on the Leapster. Really. Andrew said, "Austin, do you know what plus two and what plus three and what plus one? Six! It's another way to get six." Oh, my... Cuteness.
