That's right the smallest villain is on the loose and he's got his side kicks to help him out: GINGER VITISand SIR PLAQUE!
But, they are no match for Super Andrew and Super Alex - thanks to Super Blake!! He showed them how to fight those nasty bad guys and gave them the right tool to take care of the job! And they definitely wanted to fight that Cavity Monster - Andrew ran to the bathroom yelling, "Time brush teeth!"
Tracy Bickhaus, the author and mom to the superhero, did a wonderful job of creating a story to teach children the importance of dental hygiene while having fun. And, Korey Scott did an amazing job at the illustrations - the characters are great! Super Blake and the Cavity Monster is the first book to be released from the eight in the series. I cannot wait to see what Super Blake does next to help us all become heroes.

A little while ago, we had an amazing eater man. Andrew ate everything you would put in front of him. We were amazed. But, enter the 2 year old stage of life and that all goes away. We have been trying EVERYTHING to get Mr. Picky Pants to eat what is made for lunch/dinner. Some days he gives in and other days we give up.
Luckily, I was asked to review an amazing DVD that "gets kids hooked on eating fruits and vegetables." Copy-Kids Eat Fruits and Veggies is a great idea for those parents who either A) have a picky pants or B)have a child that may be a bit worried about trying that green item at dinner. The DVD is broken down into 12 chapters - each focusing on either a fruit or veggie.
The first chapter is on bell peppers - and thank goodness I had one in the fridge! Andrew (and Alex) wanted those peppers right that instant. There are about 6 or so kids giggling and eating raw bell peppers like apples. Andrew and Alex were sitting happily on the floor with their slices in hand and giggling. And then - chomp! Eating bell peppers like they were M&Ms! I had to change up our dinner for tonight because that ingredient was half eaten!
Funny that both of them are chomping away the same way LOL. I think they thought it was funny that it crunched when they bit into it. I can't figure out if that's why they were laughing. We tried to go onto the other segments, but I don't have the other veggies. We did watch the banana chapter and, again, they wanted what those kids were having. They do love bananas though. :)

Day 5 was about the Nativity and "No Room" at the inn. We still have yet to put up our decorations (I guess that is what traveling will do to you lol) since they are in the attic. Being 5 foot NOTHING doesn't help in the "I-need-to-get-stuff-out-of-the-attic" department. Oh, well. We did read "Away in a Manger" and we did talk about all the people and animals who are part of the Nativity.
And, we (finally - thanks Mom!) have a Mary statue. It is so pretty! I love how you can see the love in her face as she holds her baby. It was my grandmother's, too. So, it is even more special!
Now for today, Day 6, we learn about taking care of all living creatures except spiders ew! Last month I entered a giveaway over at Catholic Mom for a Little Angels DVD and I was one of the winners! YAY! And TODAY we got our DVD! And, it was perfect for today's activity!
It is such a cute DVD, too! It is a set of stories about twin (boy/girl twins) who learn about God's love of the animals through many bible stories such as Noah's Ark.We loved it!
Later today, we will also color some animal pictures. I am thinking of making some dove-shaped sugar cookies. We will see how nap time works out ;)
Do any of you use fabric softener? I love fabric softener. Especially the smelly good kinds! I even change out the fragrances based on the time of year.
