The Simple Things

Whoa... I can't believe that the next time I participate in this segment, I will have a real picture of Alex!!! Not an ultrasound pic. A true picture! WOWZA!!

For now, let's just take a look back a bit :)

 

The last U/S I had was last Friday (the 8th) and he definitely looked a lot more squished and uncomfortable. This one was done on December 17th. He now measures (estimates, of course...we will really see what the truth holds very soon!) between 40-41 weeks and is a bit over 8 pounds. My doc thinks that he is much bigger than that. I do, too. He feels bigger than Andrew was... Plus, by calendar date, I'm almost 39 weeks (Wednesday it will be 39 weeks). Speaking of that...he's so big, that a C-section is definite now. At 10am on Wednesday morning - eek! THIS Wednesday - I will be heading to the hospital. I can't wait to see him!

WATCH OUT!

This past weekend we watched The Incredibles together. We've watched it before, but Andrew didn't really get into it. He was more of a Toy Story fan. But, ever since he watched part of it while his friends, Zach and Grace, were over last week, he has like it more. He got really into it! He sat with his Daddy for most of the movie. But, the more intense parts (fighting that bad guy's invention...I don't remember what they called it...), this was the face he gave:

No, he is not scared. LOL. He is very concerned for Mr. Incredible. Jason and I were cracking up. I had tears and he could barely breath. It was so funny! Andrew made this face during all the "fight" scenes. He'd point at the TV and say, "OH!" and made the face. The "Watch Out" face LOL!!!!

P90X Week 7 Update

Jason's still going strong. He's definitely serious about it this time! Good job, honey! We are still eating really healthy, though I have somehow made a bag of Reese's Mini Easter Eggs disappear in a matter of days. But, I get to do that. At least for another 9 days! We have a super yummy menu planned for this week (which will be posted shortly), too. And, Andrew's even shown an interest in what his Daddy's is doing now. See for yourself!

Sunday Mornings are Easy

This past Sunday was so nice. We woke up early and had breakfast while Jason did his workout. After, we headed outside while it was still cool and breezy. It was wonderful! Andrew has a new found love for sidewalk chalk. He's played with it before, but really got into it over the weekend. He colored and colored most of the morning. Luckily it is raining this afternoon. He should have a blank canvas to work on this coming weekend. Remember, you can click the picture to make it bigger :)

A Month in Photos - March

Our March was FULL of fun since it was the last full month before Andrew officially a big brother!

Whoa...

So, today I decided that I seriously need to work on the beginnings on Alex's scrapbook for his first year (just like I did for Andrew). Andrew's, of course, is a standard scrapbook with embellishments and whatnot. Alex's is not. He gets the easier version. Only because...well, I don't exactly have that much time to arrange photos and decide on what stickers or whatever to use and all that jazz. So, digital scrapbooking is by new best friend. I'm doing it through Shutterfly and in a matter of an hour I already have 4 pages done! HA!

But, I had a mini panic attack just now... Let me start from the beginning a bit :)

I am following Andrew's book to do Alex's. So, I have the first page with one U/S pic. Page 2 is all about his big brother, Andrew. Page 3 is the story of how we found out with 3 U/S pics. And, page 4 is me and my tummy - minus a picture. I want to add the newest one possible to that page. So, today or tomorrow, I will have that done.

That's all super, right? Well, then Andrew's next pages are the baby shower. I am doing something a bit different with Alex. I am going to have a "Sip n See" LOL! I am super uncomfortable (he has GOT to be bigger than Andrew or I am a LOT smaller...probably the first one...). And, dang it, I want some wine or something... So, we are ALL going to have sip of something while everyone see the baby. A win-win situation! YAY!

Ok, this is when I freak out a bit...

10 days, people. 10 days until I am having ANOTHER baby. Yes, I know. I have been prego for a while now...but I'm still allowed to say, "WHHHAAAAA????"

At least everything is done. I have to get the carseat in the car and ready to go. Have my stuff in the trunk. And, setup the pack n play bassinet. But, everything else...done. It may look like I'm ready...I may even scream "GET THIS BABY OUTTA ME!!!!" every hour as I have been doing for the past month... But, you know how it is, mommies...

Time's almost up in the House of Woyaks. We are going to be a 4 person family very soon. Eek!

A Tiny April Fools' Trickster

Well, I have a very funny story for April Fools' Day...

Our little boy definitely got the prankster genes from both of us. Jason and I love to play jokes on each other all the time. One year he got me really good with the sprayer from the kitchen sink. And, one time I got him to call the Zoo asking for Mr. Lyons... That one would have worked a lot better if the Zoo hadn't closed early that day. Oh, well. There are still many tricks in store, I am sure, before this day is over.

But, this morning's joke started with a very tiny little trickster...

I heard him wake up this morning and he was giggling about something. Then, all was quiet again. I assumed he went back to sleep. I got a few things done in the kitchen before going to get him up for breakfast (we got to sleep in a bit since Jason went in to work a bit earlier). I went into his room and it was really quiet. Like, scary quiet. I looked in his bed and no one was there. Odd. I looked under it, in Alex's crib, under the crib, in the closet. He was no where to be found. I have a mini freak out (why? i dunno...he doesn't know how to open the door yet...) and call him, "Andrew?!" ANDREW?!"

Where do you suppose he was? Behind the rocking chair. I always have a blanket over the back (Alex's blanket for his bed when he is bigger) so I couldn't see behind the chair... What a stinker! He was laughing! He thought that was the funniest thing ever. It really was once I heard him. We were both laughing and he gave me a big hug and kiss.

Now, I have 2 tricksters to watch out for! Can't wait to see what Alex will try and pull one day :)

BIRDS!!!

I swear it is like an Alfred Hitchcock time of the year in my backyard. We have like a 100 birds that come to FEAST on the seed we put out for them. Andrew thinks it is the coolest thing ever. When I tell him that they are having their snack (usually before our dinner time), he runs to the kitchen. He slows down. Sneaks up to the back door. And then...whispers, "WOW!" It is so funny. I promise to get it on video in the next few days. It is so cute!! For now you will have to enjoy the pictures of the BIRDS!!

 

See? Crazy birds! But, it is pretty cool at the same time :)

When Andrew Wakes Up in the Middle of the Night

It's funny that this is the topic for this week's Toddler Talk Thursday, because, lately, that is what Mr. Man has been doing. He's quit with the occasional rolling out of bed, but has replaced it with late night giggles with Tusker (his favorite elephant). I don't know what those two talk about, but he just laughs and laughs. This goes on for about five minutes and, then, he's back to sleep. It cracks me up! I wish the baby monitor had a translation function sometimes....

This pictures is from a nap time a week or so after being in his big boy bed. I never get a night time sleeping picture. Maybe I should attempt it one day :)
