Well, it is done. The pack-n-play is now packed-n-put-away. Hehe. Oh, goodness.
Andrew went to bed as normal at 8 pm. I told him that in a little bit Alex would be sleeping in his crib. I had been telling him that all day. And he has been very excited about it. Anytime I would mention it he would instantly get into his bed and point to Alex's crib. No, dear...that's not what I meant just yet. LOL. Good thing he's excited about it cuz Alex is in there now.
Alex went to bed at 830. Andrew was still awake, but he was starting to drift off. So, I put Alex down and told Andrew that he was sleeping so it was his turn to go to sleep now. He nodded his head and rolled over.
Wow. I am so blessed to have such amazing little boys. It is now 930. Andrew and Alex are both fast asleep in the same room.
Now to see what happens when Alex wants to eat in the middle of the night. Thank goodness it is only the one time. All we have to do it make it ok to that mark and then morning for everyone mark. Please keep this mama in your prayers tonight!

Splish, Splash - they love takin' a bath!
Well, just one of them does for right now. Though Alex is coming around now. At first Alex HATED baths. HATED. Hated doesn't even begin to explain how he felt about it. I mean, you would think that something horrible was happening to the little guy. But the past few times he's been quite happy. And for this swimmer mama that is goooood news! PHEW!
Anyhoo! Bath time is our favorite time of the day. That means bedtime is just moments away. Quiet and peace will once again be restored in the house! So, this week's Toddler Talk is about bath time routines! If you want to join in, check out Crazy About My Baybah!
Bedtime around here (due to the stinkin time change) has been moved to 8 now. Andrew realized that at 7 kids were still outside playing. Hello! These were also weeknights. Um, why are those kids not in bed/getting ready for be on a school night anyway? Ok, that and the sun was still kinda up. So, now it is 8pm. And, yes, I do countdown the hours...and minutes until that moment that the bath time routine begins.
7 pm (or whenever dinner ends, but around this time) - Clearing the table and getting prepared! Now, that I'm back to using the infant tub, my kitchen sink area really does have to be cleared. Andrew helps out sometimes with getting everything put away. He likes to fold the placemats :) Cutie pie. Anyhoo! He helps me get Alex's stuff together and then runs as fast as he can behind his Daddy to take a shower with him. And YES! Jason is even asking Andrew if he needs to go potty before and after the shower. We are slowly working on the potty training. But, hey - we are working on it. :) I would love to NOT hit the Size 5 diapers. Size 4 and then no more. It even rhymes. See? It's meant to be.
So while Andrew is in the shower, the tiny king of the house is taking his bath. As I said, he really hated it before. But last night, he loved it! He was happy and quiet. Just looking around. But, I kinda cheated...maybe. I sing "Itsy Bitsy Spider" the entire time. And, yep, when I get to the "down came the rain" part, he gets water poured on him. That must be his favorite song. I sang that to him the first time at the yoga class I went to this past Tuesday. So, maybe it really is. Very cool. That's a fun song - you know, with the little hand movements and all. Fun.
Wanna see something fun now? Bath time for my babies - at 4 weeks old. Both of them at 4 weeks old. Who is who? Hmmm? Easy guess.

How cute is that?!
Topic suggestion for next week:
Speaking of favorite songs - do your toddlers have a song (or two) that they just love to hear?

Much Needed Yoga
Welcome to another adventure in my "Rookie Moms" challenge :) Take a yoga class with your baby!
And I've really gotta my "om" on more often...especially after a day like yesterday.
Apparently, I was too ambitious in thinking I could do real grocery shopping with two kids.
HA! No.
So, let me start from the beginning...
After Alex's Baptism on Sunday, Rachel threw me a little get together we called a "Sip N See." Yes, as in see the baby while you and your friends have ya self a drank! LOL! It's been a long time, people. So, a mimosa was quite nice :) Anyhoo! Andrew had a friend over, too! Lindsey brought her daughter along and she is soooo adorable! She's going to be 4 this summer and Andrew loves her! She was shy in the beginning, but Andrew kept pulling her hand or giving her a push to come and play. SO. CUTE. Well, she had to go to the bathroom after all that playing, and Andrew decided he needed to go to.
Yep. He came running for me to show me where Brinley was and, then, ran even faster to our bathroom where he climbed on the potty. I had to explain that he had a diaper on and that he needed big boys pants to go potty. He was not happy that he did not yet have the big boy pants. He said, "Awwww," in the tone of a very disappointed child... You know that tone, mamas... I told him we would go get some tomorrow. He said, "OK" and finished playing with his friend. Wow.
So, that brings me to why I needed to go to the store. He was still interested in going to the potty and being a big boy the next morning. It had to be done.
I had the baby bag packed. Andrew's drink and snack packed. Grocery list WITH coupons - even the stacked store ones with the manufacturer's. I had everything all ready to go.
You'd think, right?
NOPE.
A big fat NOPE.
Yes, with Alex in the Baby Bjorn and Andrew in the cart, we strategically went through the store to the specific spots on the list. I ACTUALLY stayed away from the areas known as the Bermuda Triangle of Target...you know, where you end up looking at everything single item because Target is amazing. I get all the COLD items - the only grocery items on the list - meats, milk, etc...
I'm at the checkout. I have everything organized for bagging... I know, I am really OCD when it comes to that. But, boxes should go together...cold items together...blah blah blah...
I EVEN HAVE THE COUPONS ORDERED UP WITH MANUFACTURER'S FIRST AND TARGET COUPONS SECOND SO I DONT CAUSE A COUPON RUCKUS WITH THE CASH REGISTER.
And, what is the main freaking problem here?!?!?!?!
I DONT HAVE MY DEBIT CARD!!!!!!!!!! I DONT EVEN HAVE A DAMN CHECK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can I just tell you how unbelievably horrible and stupid I felt? I get that people have had this happen before...and the people at Target were so nice. But, I really felt 110% prepared to go out on this adventure.
That adventure sucked!
It's ok though...my wonderful husband came to my rescue with in 15 minutes. I was about to cry. That was horrible.
So, to the yoga...
I really wasn't going to go out ever again after that disaster, but I made myself do it. I needed that yoga time. And it was awesome! I went to the Mom & Baby Yoga class in town mid-morning and it was great. Andrew went to the playroom while Alex and I had our bonding time. The staff and kids in the playroom were so nice and Andrew really enjoyed it. The first half of the class was mommy yoga time and the second half was yoga for baby. We even did a few songs. It was so nice to do an activity with just Alex. I am thinking of making this a monthly thing - maybe twice a month... I'm not sure. But, it was great! I am glad I went. I don't want to look or feel like this guy again...

Alex's Baptism
Sunday was Alex's Baptism :) I just wanted to share the pictures from the ceremony. I just love our Church - it is so pretty!! Father Muller preformed the ceremony. He is such a great priest. We are so happy to be a part of Our Lady of Sorrows!
Let the little children come to me, and do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs. ~ Luke 18:16

Weekly Challenge
I do not know how many of you have heard of the fabulous "Rookie Moms" blog/website, but it is FABULOUS! I followed that site everyday when it was just me and Andrew. But, I sort of left it on the back burner when I knew Alex was coming along. See, I was under the impression that just one more tagging along would be easy.
Um, no.
I don't have a clue how to do anything with two...a toddler and an infant. Are you kidding me? Yeah, I got the whole changing diapers thing down. I can get to a drive-thru. And, I can push thatbus stroller all over my neighborhood. But, doing real things, like going to a grocery store or something. Oh, no. Nah-uh. No way.
Until I found the weekly challenge list from Rookie Moms - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! I may not technically be a "new" mom, but this whole mama of 2 thing is new. I mean...WOW.
I did have a chance to do a very scary thing before stumbling upon the list, thanks to some awesome friends - the Fabulous Rachel and Kristi! Rachel got me to go to the pool last week. Yes, with both kiddos. EEK! I seriously thought she was crazy. But, she told me she thought it out and had a plan and everything. Kristi (who was prego at that moment - CONGRATS!!!) held Alex while Andrew and I played in the pool with Rachel and her kids. It was great!! I am so blessed to have such wonderful friends!! They may scare me at time with wild ideas such as that, but they are wonderful!
Now, back to the weekly challenges. It began at the beginning of the year, so I'm catching up. I did the challenge from week 5 yesterday - GO TO THE GROCERY STORE.
Are you out of your mind?!
I needed to grab a quick dinner anyway...so off to Publix we went after nap time. Let me tell you that as I was approaching Publix, I was beginning to freak out. I can do anything with just one. Two? I really wasn't sure about that. But, I had to do it. I have to learn how to do these things, right?
So, Alex got all comfy cozy in the Baby Bjorn. Then I got Andrew out of the car. And, then, we went inside. I guess I seemed calm, because Alex fell back asleep before we got to the doors and Andrew was all excited because he knew that he was getting cookie from the bakery.
Anyhoo, we did it! I got dinner - fried chicken, sweet rolls, and apple pie. Even a pretty potted plant :) And, to make things so much better, the cashier told me how good the boys were and how cute they looked! I told her that this was our "learning how to go out outing" and she said told me that she thought I was a great mom for doing this with them and that the big brother would learn how to be a bigger help. That just made my day!
Next week's challenge - I'm going to a mommy and baby yoga class! YAY! Andrew will get to play in the playroom and Alex and I will have a little bonding time. I'll let you know how it goes!
Um, no.

Checking out which cookie he wants to get :)
Nervous...can you tell? LOL
No, I don't know what, "Mas blah da birs mm eee o!" means...
WHAT?!
I really wish Andrew would hurry up and start speaking real words. He understand EVERYTHING we say, but we are slowly starting to understand him. I know that part of that title has the words "ThoMAS" and "birds" in it, but what he is talking about...I don't have a clue. I also know that he is telling me the letters M, E, and O. But, again, not sure what that is all about. It really hurts my head to try and figure it out, too. It doesn't help that he repeats the EXACT SAME THING either.
But, even though I don't understand what that was all about, I now have a list of things that he tries to say that I really do understand. Let's see if you know what these words are:
cheeros
awful
diedoor
didan
shh
dow
cher
caple
mow
Any thoughts? Give up? Ok, I will tell you :)
Cheerios
Waffle
Dinosaur
Dino Dan
Shoes
Down
Chair
Apple
More
Im going to try and get a video of him "talking" in the next few days. He has some great stories to share. But, you have to remember to listen very carefully.

A Monday in Photos
I thought that it would be fun to show what our day looks like. Andrew, as usual, cracks me up! I wonder is Alex is going to be just as funny when he is bigger :)
Good morning, boys :)
Mama juice - yum!
Yep, we have breakfast every morning together! It is so nice to have that little bit of time together before the start of the day.
After breakfast, we work on some words from the "My Baby Can Read" program.
Time for "Super Why!" Andrew is really into this show now. He gets up and points to the letters when the Super Readers need some help. Cute!
Ok, normally...after that show we go on a walk. But, it is COLD outside! WHAT?! Hello! It is MAY, people! MAY! Ugh. Lame. So, instead we played with the trains.
Alex wants to play, too. LOL Andrew's the only one dressed. Alex and I are still in PJs...
But not for long. Eventually lunchtime rolled around :)
And the ride to and from Sonic wore this guy out.
Not this one. He recharged after nap time. And just in time for Dino Dan and, then, the witching hour. Luckily, there was a shuttle launch earlier and an episode of "Little Bear" in which he goes to the moon. Andrew needed a space helmet, too. I asked him where he was going... I said, "Oh, are you going to space?" He said, "No. Moon!" LOL!!
What a great day!

The Simple Things
Enjoying an afternoon at the pool with my big little guy thanks to some great friends who helped me get out as a mama of 2! Thanks, Rachel & Kristy!

A Super Big Brother
Andrew is the best big brother! He is such a big help. He always checks on Alex and lets me know if he is sleeping or fussing. Today he even let me know that Alex was hungry (he pointed to the bottles on the counter). I tried something a bit different today. Normally, I have Alex in his little seat on the kitchen table when Andrew is running all over the place. Then at snack time or nap time, Alex has his tummy time in the living room. Well, I let him be on the floor (still in his seat to be protected somewhat from the wild child lol - nah, Andrew's not that wild...but you know...) while Andrew and I played Thomas and watched Dino Dan. After a bit, Alex fell asleep. I guess I didn't realize it since I was hushed by Andrew. LOL. Andrew was taking pretty good care of him, too. He even gave him his binky when it was needed :)

1st Bath :D
Before, happy and snuggly...
Apparently, Andrew is my only water baby... He loved baths from very start. Alex, on the other hand, is soooo not fond it. He did not like any part of it, except getting out and dried off. Guess I will only have 1 swimmer, huh? Too funny!
During...not so much fun, I guess. Maybe next time he will like it better.

Brotherly Love
My hubby told me he was trying to take some cute pictures... But, he really was recording us! Stinker :) It is cute though. And, yes, this was posted very late at night...Alex's 2am feeding :) Gotta love Mama Multitasking!

Of Elephants and Pancakes
This past Sunday was so nice. We got out of the house for a bit to enjoy the nice weather and check out the new exhibit at our zoo - Trails of Africa! We only saw one elephant, but it was enough for Andrew to thoroughly enjoy. You know how he has a huge elephant obsession! So, he loved it!!
We used our new sit-n-stand stroller, too (That - yes, I'm gonna brag - I got for $89 including the carseat! Go me!). Andrew loved that he was in the "big boy spot" and that he was Alex's helper. :) Anytime Alex's binky fell out, Andrew would turn around and say, "Uh-oh, X." So cute!!
Later that day, dinner turned into breakfast made by 2 of 3 of my favorite men. Yum!
