Back-to-School Command Center

Preschool started for us this week and Andrew was pretty excited! Pictures are coming up in the next post! With Andrew's school calendar, things going on at our church, appointments and so much more to keep track of, the calendar on the phone/email just wasn't going to cut it. After reading the posts from other mommy bloggers and looking on Pinterest, I finally came up with a solution.

Nice, neat, and organized! The only things I bought were the framed dry-erase calendar ($12.59 at Target - nice frame and magnet. It was cheaper than the one that had some flimsy frame!) and Alex's backpack (SkipHop $19.99 at Books-a-Million - used my membership to bring it down some). No, he isn't going to school just yet, but he is a big boy, too!

On the top is the awesome frame that I won in a giveaway (from the Rustic Poppy) that a friend of mine was having last year. If you have little boys, Ellie makes some AMAZING things!! She started putting some girly items out, too :) Go visit her! I hear she is having a giveaway for $25 to her store. Better be a fan of hers on Facebook!

I used a 2 pic frame that I had stuck in the back of the closet saved for a rainy day. Too bad it wasn't raining. HA! I just stuck a gift bag I ripped open and wrote their names on the glass with a dry-erase marker. It will do for now.

The hooks are the fabulous 3M hooks. They are awesome. I don't use anything else - unless it has to be a screw or heavy-duty nail of some sort. These are perfect. I think they are typically under $5, depending on what you get.

So that is our back-to-school central!

Just in case you are wondering how I keep our lives in order on paper, I am a huge fan of MomAgenda! I went with their spiral agenda this year. They had a sale on some of  the ones that were "messed up" so I jumped on that. Honestly, I don't see a scratch on it. And, even if I did, so? I'm gonna get it scuffed up anyway digging it out of this and that, right?

Well, happy back-to-school everyone!!
