Picasa Collages

So it was suggested to me by Holly over at A Life-Size Catholic Blog, to do a post on Picasa collages for today's Pay It Forward. I am not any sort of computer person and everything I figured out on Picasa just sort of happened through accidental clicks or my friend, Rachel, who is more of a Picasa genius that I am. :)

Ok, so if you do not have Picasa already (why not?!), go here to download it. It is free and fabulous! There is a blue box on the right. This is for Windows XP, Vista, and 7. If you are a Mac user, click here. This program will take all the pictures on your computer and organize them and everything for you. For us mommies, it is always nice to have someone else do the work, right? Unless you are really OCD, then just opt out of that.

Anyway, it is really easy to make a collage and it is really fun, too! First, just choose what photos you want to group together within a folder. Up on the top toolbar, click CREATE and choose PICTURE COLLAGE.

Once the collage pops up, you have a bunch of different choices for your collage. You can do a pile of pictures, a mosaic, a framed mosaic (has a pic in the middle), a grid. All sorts of things. You can make the grid spaced or not. Mine is spaced a bit in this shot. You can add any image to the background. Make the background any color. Just have fun with it :) Once you are done, click CREATE COLLAGE on the left and magic begins to happen.

I hope this helps those that wanted to know my mad collage skills, LOL! If you make a collage and want to share it, leave a comment!

  1. I love it! I'm going to hop over to two people's blogs and share your link right now!

I think others will see how easy it is, be brave, and just go do it!

That's what I did when you encouraged me. Thanks for linking up!
