I wasn't expecting that!
I ran back inside to grab Andrew to show him and then we saw something even more amazing - 2 rainbows!! Of course...I ran to get Andrew and didn't think to grab the camera again. Oh, well. That's not even the coolest part of that whole few moments out there. I told Andrew to look up and see the rainbow. Do you know what he said?!
"Mmhmm mama. Reh, Boo, Geen. Rinbow!"
WHAT?! I cannpt believe how fast he is growing up. He is learning so much so quickly, too, that I had no idea he knew some of his colors. We talk about it all the time, but I never heard him actually point it out to me without any clues. I just said "rainbow."
We went back in to finish breakfast and I grabbed the book we got this month from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library - I Am a Rainbow by Dolly Parton. That is such a sweet little book. She teaches feelings and colors together. Like "green with envy" and "the blues" and such. But the best part is a little note she has at the end of the story:
"...I figured out how I could see a rainbow everyday -- all I had to do was reach up and pull that rainbow right out of the sky and place it in my heart..."
